1970 Festival with Altecs

Wisconsin Historical Images | Sound Storm: Wisconsin's First Rock Festival I was at this festival. Jerry Garcia with out a beard and the vocals coming in load and clear from the Altec horns. Only a couple of shots of the sound system, see if you can spot the horns. Cheers, Doug

For a festival called "Sound Storm" there aren't many shots of the Sound System.

Yeah looks like a Multicell up on top there !

Here's an old Doors album cover I came across "Live In Hollywood" that are using 311-90's and looks like an A5 on the ground with the 311 on top ! In the first picture front cover if look at Jim Morrison you can see another pair of 311's (90's on top & 60's on the bottom)

I was watching an old "Mission Impossible the other day that had some Altec 805's in a recording studio.:2thumbsup:

My guess it would have been Altec. Altec was in the right place at the right time. A missed opportunty for sure. Thanks for the Doors concert info. I will try and find a copy.
